The Enviko team is comprised of Chartered Engineers, Surveyors, Planners, Heat and Power Engineers, we are one of the leading independent renewable energy installers for commercial, domestic and agricultural purposes around the country, helping people discover the benefits of cleaner, greener energy.
Tom studied Mechanical Engineering at Edinburgh University and is a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology, he has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2003, Tom was originally an engineer at Parsons Brinckerhoff before he moved to PB Power. He is responsible for Enviko’s engineering team and has ten years of experience in designing renewable energy systems, he applies this extensive project management knowledge to train our engineers and oversees the design of our low carbon systems.
Andrew is a founding member of the company and he comes from a telecoms and project management background which includes work with some leading mobile operators and property companies. He gained a MSc in Estate Management and a BSc (Hons) in geography at the University of Edinburgh and then went on to train as a chartered surveyor before turning to the renewable energy. Andrew is responsible for the general running of the business including operations delivery and also sales and marketing activities.
Ewan has a 1st class honours degree in Planning and Property Development from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, he has knowledge of planning systems in Scotland and the UK. He is a core member of the consents team and is currently following the chartered surveying APC offered by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. He plays a key role in our site sustainability and wind resource development.
Before becoming an Assistant Engineer at the Enviko, Fionn was a site foreman and completed a full electrical internship. He oversees the installation of over 5MW of solar PV and wind turbines and is in charge of on-site health and safety and quality control of our installations.
Alastair leads the financial department.
Tim Cook joined the team back at the start of 2011 and has been an instrumental part of the company’s growth & success over the past few years.
Tim enjoyed his career change into the world of renewables following a course run by Bath university on sustainability – “it just seemed obvious to me” says Tim, “everyone wants to do their bit for the environment yet no one Really wants to sacrifice their lifestyle.
Renewable energy is an obvious way to make a Real difference, yet with no compromise on living standards. Add to this, a very healthy return on your investment and its almost too good to be true – but it is!”
His open, understanding & enthusiastic approach to helping clients find the right technology solution for them “If you offer a good, helpful & honest service – sales will follow” and this is exactly what him & his team offer.
Ashley joined Enviko in 2014 and comes directly from working in the development of utility scale-solar projects. During his time at Verto Energy he sourced and assisted the negotiation of land rights on a portfolio of over 180mWp. Before this Ashley spent a number of years working at a boutique stock broker and within property sales and management.
Ashley now focusses on mixed sector solar and biomass working in both the private and public sector.
Duncan joined us in 2014 with a background in solar engineering and sales and marketing degree from university of Sussex. Duncan heads the technical side to our solar work managing DNO, planning and technical sales.
Roland joined Enviko in 2014 and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of renewable heating, including heat pumps, biomass and more conventional low carbon and energy efficiency technologies.
Dave has been with Enviko for many years now, an experienced plumbing and gas engineer. Dave heads up the heating operations division.
I head up the biomass department and have been working in the biomass industry since 2006 when I was importing a range of boilers from Sweden. I have been involved in both domestic projects and commercial projects up to 1.7mW with experience in specifying, designing systems together with sales and also worked for Austrian boiler distributor Windhager UK.
Whilst at Enviko I have been involved with projects for farmers and land owners, district heating schemes for multiple holiday cottages, care homes , leisure groups, M& E contractors, factories and schools with projects up to 600kW to date.
