Enviko installed a 42kW ground source heat pump and 63W solar PV system at Witley Farm in Surrey. Our client expressed a desire to switch from using oil to heat the farm with ad we recommended the use of a ground source heat pump. The Solar PV was then adopted to back up the use of the Heat Pump through the generation of electricity.
The PV systems were installed across a range of buildings with the largest system installed on a barn roof. We also installed a ground mounted system close to the farm using free-standing sigma posts.
We recommended the use of tier one Yingli 250W modules and SMA inverters throughout the system design. The system generates approximately 60,000 units of power a year and goes a long way towards contributing to the power requirements of the farm.

As part of the UK’s government Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) we are accredited installers have an impressive portfolio of solar PV systems throughout the UK, helping each of our clients reduce their carbon footprint whilst also tackling the problems of rising energy costs.
The financial logic becomes obvious when you consider that returns on these systems can be as high as 15% and the obvious fact that traditional energy prices have risen far faster than inflation
